Gas in kWh not L

Currently the meter constant for gas is expressed in L/pulse. Wouldn't it make more sense to express it in kWh?

If I just change the meter constant value to the correct factor for kWh (ie. ~litres*0.001*1.02264*40.0/3.6, or in other words a factor of ~0.011362) would it make a difference other than the dashboard chart legend being wrong?

The kwh rating is not always the same, you can have rich or poor gas.

Of course, therefore the supplier should provide the corresponding values as this is also an indicator for heater efficiency...
