No Gas pulses from testing.

Similar as the thread you just closed. Ive just added a Gas sensor. Hall effect. I Can see pulses at FLM terminals, .15v to 3.2v when I pass a magnet next to sensor.
Nothing on sys log though?
Is this voltage change enough?

The problem with your ports 2 and 3 not showing any data were due to a server-side provisioning error. Should be fixed now. Can you confirm by doing the tap test one more time? You should see data appearing on the hour chart within five minutes after running the tap.

Same.
100 ohm in series same as opto. Uses the voltage from input 6 like your setup.
My idea was/is to drill a small hole thru side of clear meter cover ans glue a strip og fridge magnet on the dial pointer :)
I tried the opto but too much stray light as meter is on an outside wall.

I bought two of the a few months ago, but never used them...
About the opto: i don't think its detecting environment light. Is that what you mean stray light ?
What about glueing something very shiny on the needle and try detecting it with the opto ?
Or perhaps the fridge magnet is also shiny ;-)
Nevermind, if you have enough patient to glue something on the dial pointer, you shall finally succeed to monitor your gasmeter.

Stray sunlight is giving me issues. Cancels out the opto pulses.

Hey B

Why not put a paper bag over the meter, that will kill the stray light !!

Sorry could not resist, hope you have a sense of humour

I got lucky with my AGL (Sydney) meter and the standard reed switch worked first time

@icarus

Bart. I've put an reed across the terminal block. When I wave a magnet the voltage drops to 0 and back to 3.5.
Im not seeing any pulses on the 'syslog'
Can you go in and check it for me please?

You've set the meter constant to 0.01L/pulse? That means you'll have to wave the magnet 100 times before you'll see a pulse appearing in the syslog. I suspect your gas meter has a constant of 0.01m3/pulse. 1m3 = 1000L, so you should configure the gas sensor to 10L/pulse.

oops..........Thanks Ill give it a go, missed that :(

Ill report back tomorrow

Thank you
