Water and gas probes

I would like to use the new water and gas probes at my house in inner city Melbourne, Australia. Has anyone else used them in Australia? I can't find a hole or port in the water meter. Is there an easy way to tell if either the water or gas meters are compatible?

EB, can you post a photo with the lid open and showing the meter type? I dare say though, that your meter cannot be smart enabled. In that case, call the water authority, tell them that your meter is old and likely to be running too slow, ie UNDERcharging you ;-), and that they should come and replace it with a smart enabled one - so you can pay them more $$$. ;-)
