Digital Gas Meter

In Belgium digital meters replace the analog ones. This week both meters have been replaced by digital. For electricity this is no problem as it is measured by a current clamp. But for gas the former gas probe seems to be useless as the new counter doesn't seem to give magnetic signals any more.
The gasmeter is a Uniflo G6SRTV.

Any suggestion to allow me continuing monitoring gas?

Looks like port P1 should be of interest?
(I don't have a digital meter yet but I'm interested since I'll end up with one too...)

Hi Petur, you can be right but P1 is available only on electricity, no connections of any kind on the gas meter.

You won't see it blink unless you are very special; it's infrared ;-)

And corresponding to the specification it is P1; thus you need a read head to gain information from the meter; I don't know if the FLM supports P1 on gasmeters; it "could" as it supports it for electricity, but here the supplier @icarus75 is asked, especially on "multiplexing" multiple P1 devices on on FLM...

Gas meter data is sent to the electricity meter via wireless M-Bus. Hence, if you are able to read the electricity data via the RJ12 connector of the P1 port on the electricity meter, you will also see the gas channel reads there. No need then for an optical probe on the gas meter.

That's interesting! Thanks @BGEO

Same problem over here... new gasmeter is installed... any solution?
Thx!

Anybody knows how to attach the P1 port towards Flukso V2B
I am trying to activate this with Port 6 on the Flukso

It's correct that GAS meter is also read by Electrity meter by the P1 port
