synchronisation with Flukso server failed

All,

received my new flukso, installed sensors, and connected to wireless network.

Globe led is on
ping is succesfull
Time synchronisation does not happen
and synchronisation with flukso server fails

Forwarded port 123 on routers

I am a bit clueless what could be wrong, I am located in the netherlands and as far as I know does my provider not block port 123. (I am using different time servers for other equipment).

Any help is appriciated, thanks

Hi Alans,

I believe that if time synchronization is not working it means you Flukso can´t navigate through the internet. That may be route table, ip address or other network config not well configured (DHCP issue?).

You said that you can ping FLM right? So try to ssh into it. (ssh ip.of.flm or use putty in windows). I thing ssh will only work through ethernet cable. Then verify if flukso can ping your router, than something like google.com.

Another possibility is that you router/firewall is restricting FLM access to internet. Does your router/firewall restrict internet access to only some clients?

On the sensor page it is stated that the "flukso serber ping test" succeeded. I assume that with this message means that the FLM can ping the flukso server and that thus my routers are not the restricting factor because the internet connection is working.

I am not very familiar with ssh or telnet; so what can I do to hekp troubleshooting? I have looked only for synchronisation problems on the forum, I'll check what I can do with SSH.

Thanks

Update; it works. Saving the sensor page again maked that everything works.

up to the next step; installing.

you are right. I have understood you tried ping FLM device from your computer.

Anyway glad it worked. I put my FLM device for a week inside a plastic bag (I know, ugly, very ugly instalation) because it has to be outside the house. After a week I went to electrical material store nearby and bought a Stek hermetic case, two cable holder. I saw the one side of the case and put a cable holder to pass sensor cabling and energy, another hole in the other side to pass through the antenna. I hang the case in the wall near the fuse box (in Brazil main fuse and meter are locate in the gate of the house, accessible from the outside). Now it is not ugly anymore :D

Hi,
I have a question - does anyone know what lines of code I type in Putty to change the domain the flukso syncs its time from? I open Putty and can't sort out what code lines to type so if anyone has step-by-step lines they can share that would be great!
Thanks
