Installation

Questions about installing and configuring a Fluksometer.

Is there a way to stop FLM taking over as DNS provider for my wired network?

I have reset the FLM's wired and wifi network addresses to 10.10.0.4 (wifi) and 10.10.0.5 (wired) so it I can access it from my 10.10.0.*/24 home network.

BUT my wifes PC started using the FLM as it DNS provider. After I turned my PC on this morning it also grabbed the FLM as it's DNS provider. I have noe hardcoded my PC and wifey's PC to use my router as the DNS provider, but was wondering if there is a way to get around this?

My have adjusted the network settings to (bold are the new settings):
Local Network
IPv4-Address: 10.10.0.5
IPv4-Netmask: 255.255.255.0
IPv4-Gateway (optional): 10.10.0.1
DNS-Server (optional): 10.10.0.1

Internet Connection
Protocol: manual
IPv4-Address: 10.10.0.5
IPv4-Netmask: 255.255.255.0
IPv4-Gateway (optional): 10.10.0.1
DNS-Server (optional): 10.10.0.1

Clamp Segment Size: unchecked.

I have the FLM operating in wifi mode.

Should I be expecting any more dramas or is there something else I can do to ensure that the FLM is not acting as a DNS provider? Does it need to be a DNS provider now that it is on my network.

Thanks all. Apologies for being a pain :-(

Silly question: How search the forum posts

How do I search the forums?

I just got my FLM2 today and I am having some issues getting it up and running. Before I break out all the noob questions I thought I would search the forums as I can't believe I would be the first person to have dramas setting these up.

Problems I am having:
1) My wifi LED is blinking sporadically (about once every 1 or 2 seconds). Definitely blinking faster than once every three seconds [good wifi], and slower than twice per second [no wifi connection]
2) How do I tell what reporting mode the FLM is in?
3) On my Flukso devices page I can see that my FLM has previously registered a heartbeat (half an hour ago), but the uptime is listed as "0d 0h".

3 phase Installation WITH PV

Before purchasing the flukso I would like to confirm that it can do the following:

1. Measure my power usage - I have three phase, so I would need three clamps.
2. Measure my PV generation - As the three clamp inputs will be used for measuring the three phase I would need to use the pulse input.

I can obtain a kwh meter and install into my powerbox so that it measures my PV generation and this will provide a pulse output (1000 pulses per kwh)

Am I correct in thinking that this setup will work?
